以学科为载体的中学英语教学改革研究实验报告

  长期以来,我国基础教育外语教学的低效率、低质量引起了社会及教育界的强烈不满,传统外语教学使得学生将外语仅仅作为一门知识来学习,丧失了语言的交流与思维的重要功能。学生学了十几年外语,仅仅是各种考试的工具、进入高一级学校学习的敲门砖。而且,随着年级的增高,学生的学术性外语严重滞后于其专业知识和经验,无法与同龄外国学生进行学科知识交流,也缺乏最基础的接受国际化教育能力。这种低效率、低质量的外语教学,还使得外语教师的语言能力与教学技能受到严重制约,极大地影响到教师本人的专业成长,丧失职业价值感。以学科为载体的中学英语改革实验以现代外语学习理论为指导,借鉴英语“浸入式”教学在中国开展的实验和实践的成功经验,在中学用英语教授部分学科,在学科知识发展的同时,发展学生的第二语言能力,特别是学术语言能力,全面提高学生第二语言应用能力,同时也促进了英语教师的在职专业成长。

        Experimental Report of A Reform of English Teaching in Secondary School

——Subject-Based English Teaching

 Abstract: For a long time, low efficiency and low quality of English teaching in high school caused strong dissatisfaction with the society and educators. English that the students learned for more than ten years is only a tool for all kinds of test, the key of entering a higher school. High school students' academic English seriously lag behind their professional knowledge and experience. They are not only can't communicate with foreign students about the academic knowledge, but also lack of the ability to accept international education. This kind of low efficiency and low quality of English teaching also makes English teachers' language ability and teaching skill severely restrict, greatly affect the teachers professional development, and to loss their professional value. Based on the modern English language learning theory , learning English "immersion" teaching practice and experience in China, the English teaching reform, Subject-based English teaching experiment in high school, is trying to development student's second language skills, especially academic language skills.  And mean well to improve English teachers in high school in-service professional development.
